The monkeys are a lot more gentle and tame than I’m used to in Bali, they are fed and looked after, but they are actually somewhat scared of humans, they walk and jump around as if we were actually not even there, but definitely keep a distance when you try to snap pictures of them or observe them. They don’t initiate contact or attack or try to sniff out food. Nice and safe. Just look at this guy with his best buddy 🙂
And I keep having these people-moments all the time, there are so many interesting long-term expats coming and going in our little garden restaurant here, and I enjoy listening, and maybe even talking, but socialising always makes me exhausted. But I really need it. Everyone has so many travel stories, and life stories, and book recommendations, and favourite places to share, and of course many are based in India, so that’s mostly a lot of new stuff for me. I’m a million miles now from Bali.
